Introducing AAWAA's New Director!
We are pleased to introduce everyone to AAWAA’s new Director, Grace Fujimoto! Hired in May 2026, Grace recently completed 3-months of rigorous onboarding/training for this role on our Staff. She is a force of nature, and we couldn’t be happier to work with her and lead our organization to new heights!
As Director, Grace joins our all-star Staff to oversee the implementation of the vision and direction of the organization in accordance with AAWAA’s strategic plan as set by the Board of Directors. She is responsible for managing the organization’s staff, programs, development, finance, and operations.
ABOUT GRACE
Grace Fujimoto (she/her) is an editor who has developed several best-selling books during her time as a senior leader in the publishing industry. She is especially proud of her work on the first editions of Moon USA State by State and Moon U.S. Civil Rights Trail, the latter inspiring her to take a five-city trip through the southeastern United States. An enthusiastic supporter of the arts, she is also a beginning graphic designer and is taking classes at the City College of San Francisco. She brings her two other passions, public transportation and environmentalism, into her creative practice. A graduate of UC Berkeley, Grace grew up in southern California and now lives in the Mission district of San Francisco.
