Melanie Elvena, Programs & communications Manager 

Melanie Elvena (she/her/siya) is a queer Pinay arts producer, curator, community organizer, and artist, making an impact in the San Francisco Bay Area for the last 13 years. She serves as Artistic Director at Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center and Programs & Communications Manager at Asian American Women Artists Association. She holds a B.A. in Art History from UC Irvine specializing in Modern/Contemporary Art. Melanie is a theatermaker at Bindlestiff Studio and sings with San Francisco Soundwave Chorus where she is also the Assistant Director and Bass Section Leader. In her spare time, she moonlights as owner and pastry chef of Marahuyo Confections.
