I explore the lyrical interplay between the conscious and the subconscious.

My work consists of layers of visual ideas on identity, imagination, perception and remembrances. I like to balance the visible world of form and structure with the less tangible world of images formed by our subconscious feelings, memories, fantasies and dreams. The resulting personal and contemplative vision is inspired by the

Rorschach Inkblot Test paired with analogous images from a children's string game.

I use physical alterations of the monotype paper, such as embossments, burns, tears, folds, scratches and perforations to represent the objective conscious visible world, with the images printed on the paper to represent the subjective subconscious inner world.
